Teach Albert Einstein's Photoelectric effect!!!

Description

Move the Violet light across the Write and See Square and observe the brightly glowing trail. Violet light has enough energy to excite the phosphorescent pigment in the vinyl. The excited pigment then slowly releases energy as green light (the "glow" look). Red Light does not have enough energy to affect the pigment. Contains a mounted sheet of phosphorescent vinyl ~15 x 15 cm (6" x 6") and an incredible Violet Photon Light LED flashlight on a key-chain ring. Kindergarten through college, teach handwriting skills, or Albert Einstein's Photoelectric effect!!!

The students were very impressed by this demo. Anything that gets them that interested is big win. Of course I used the blue LED and the UV light and the red laser with it to get them to tell me why the red light did not work.

I love this product, I can put in a box and pull it out every year when I need it. I've purchased all the LED's in ROY G BIV and white light to teach about the visible spectrum and which LEDS have enough energy to excite the electrons.

Using one of these Write and See Squares with a red and a violet Photon Microlight is my favorite demonstration to show students that violet light really does have more energy than red light. My students never forget this quick and easy demonstration.
