I lost track of how long it took to build , but it took me a couple of nights while watching TV , the boiler in tiny but adequate for a short run. the premise is good & the parts are of satisfactory quality . i tend to modify nearly everything I touch & this was bought with the express purpose of certain modifications I had in mind for it. 1st thing I knew I wanted to tackle was the absurd ratio of 1/1 on the crank shaft to the rocking oil pump arm, its foolish to have an engine run at near stall speed with the rocking arm going at such a crazy speed that the armature on the end of said arm is always wanting to fly apart , i put in a reduction gearbox that got me a 9.75/1 ratio & a 12/1 ratio would be better imho. I also put installed an immersion rod heater in the boiler which now abstain a 80 minute run with very precise control. to see it on YouTube simply type in...
