When it says "mini" light stick it means it. The good part is you can get a lot of them for a low price and let more kids experiment with them but if you want it for a demonstration then get the larger size. Other than size they do exactly what they are expected to do.

Owner Response: They are mini, indeed! As it says in the product description, each stick is 1.5 inches. These light sticks are a perfect value item for classroom use when you want each student to conduct their own experiment.
