Kids Making Sense® Air Quality Kits teach students how to measure air pollution using low-cost air quality sensors, interpret the data they collect, and take action to reduce emissions and exposure to air pollution.

Our kit for groups of 10-25 students includes everything you need to run the program in your classroom. Kits are reusable, and teachers only need to purchase a few consumables once the included supplies have been used up.

Here is what is included in the kit:

    • Particle Capture Experiment
      • Index cards, tape, jeweler's loupes

  • 5 cloud-connected particle sensors and 5 smart phones
  • Teacher's Guide and Student Workbooks (printed and digital versions included) *Available in English and Spanish!*
  • Access to the web-based data map

  • Optional add-on: Video chat with an air quality scientist

This kit is incredible! It is very easy to understand and workable with a wide variety of grades. There is a lot of opportunity to have extension activities and the students LOVE seeing their samples appear live on the map. I was able to create extension activities with music, phonics, and geography! This is a well worth investment!
