Who knew ions could be so fun?!

My kids (9 & 12) played this at a coffee shop with two other 12 year olds. Watching them play, they laughed, bounced in their seats, and were in fierce competition. They love this game. They said it's a lot like Sushi Go but with more strategy. We'll be buying another game (the one we played we gifted to a family and they invited us to play).

This is a fun game that is a very effective reinforcement for learning the most common ions and their valances. Vastly more effective than home-made flash cards. We continue to play it, just because it's fun -- the younger kids will have a headstart in Chemistry because they have said "hydroxyl" dozens of times and associate it with OH-
