The perfect way to get started programming like the professionals!

Description

The fischertechnik Robotics TXT 4.0 Base Set is the perfect way to get started programming like the professionals! The comprehensive building set includes a camera with image processing as well as an ultrasound sensor, two encoder motors, a track sensor, a phototransistor, two buttons and two LEDs. The model can be programmed and controlled with ROBO Pro Coding graphic programming software and the ROBOTICS TXT 4.0 controller. Beginners can refer to finished example programs, while advanced users and professionals can get started directly in a Blockly library or in Python. The set includes twelve exciting models, ranging from a pedestrian signal to a barrier, a bar code scanner, and mobile driving robots with encoder motors, cameras, track and distance sensors. The comprehensive teaching materials include introductory and basic information, as well as 20 experiments with solutions for the twelve models.

fischertechnik Education products include comprehensive, freely accessible teaching materials. These have been developed together with teacher training colleges, teachers and didacticians and are ideally suited to the needs of the classroom. In addition to the topic introduction, lesson plans with task sheets and educational plan references are available.

The topic introduction provides content that can be optimally used for lesson preparation and integrated into the lessons. Definitions, history, basic knowledge and much more are provided. The teaching material includes an overview of the learning objectives as well as the time required for the tasks. In line with the curriculum-relevant topics, various tasks are included within which different experiments are dealt with. The tasks are divided into a construction task, thematic task and experimentation task. In this way, one progresses from building, to learning technical content, to applying the acquired knowledge.

Robotics Add On: IoT

A professional way to get started with measured value recording with the Robotics Add On: IoT! In combination with the Robotics Base Set, the stationary sensor station can be used to measure air temperature, humidity, air pressure, air quality and brightness. The sensor station can be programmed and controlled with the graphical programming software ROBO Pro Coding and the ROBOTICS TXT 4.0 controller, and is ideal for teaching topics such as (data logging, programming and the use of actuators and sensors. Measured values are recorded via the connection to the TXT 4.0 Controller with a cloud memory where sensor data can be stored and accessed, then collected and graphically displayed. The different sensor data can be reviewed continuously on the user interface, called the "Dashboard". This can also be used for remote control of the camera, which swivels on two axes. The Robotics Add On: Teaching materials including six experiments and associated solutions are a great addition to the IoT set.

Highlights:
  • Data acquisition
  • Network connections
  • Cloud computing
  • IoT
  • Contains 72 components
  • A quick-to-build model and 6 exciting experiments for secondary schools
  • Printed building instructions included
  • Suitable for group work of 2 to 4 pupils

Robotics Add On: Omniwheels

Program your own robots using the fischertechnik Robotics Add On: Omniwheels. Alongside the Robotics Base Set, students can build four exciting omniwheel models just waiting to come to life. Builders can create driving robots to complete different tasks, like a football robot, a shooting robot that detects and shoots at a target, and a painting robot with a pencil it can raise and lower. One highlight of this building set are the omniwheels, which are operated by four encoder motors (two of which are included in the Base Set) and allow the robot to move in any direction. The camera included in the Base Set delivers image processing that allows the football robot, for instance, to detect a ball and shoot it at full force! The new fischertechnik TXT 4.0 Controller works with new ROBO Pro Coding programming software to offer a variety of new features. In addition to graphic programming in the Blockly library, it now also allows for programming using Python. The software is not dependent on any specific operating system, and can be used on mobile devices. The set also contains a servo motor.

Highlights:
  • Omniwheels vehicle control
  • Image processing
  • Control technology
  • Contains 331 components
  • 4 quick-to-build model and 7 exciting experiments for secondary schools
  • Printed building instructions included
  • Suitable for group work of 2 to 4 pupils
