Description

The Dino-Lite AM4815ZTL Edge series handheld microscope features improved optics for sharper images, an adjustable polarizing filter, Long Working Distance (LWD), Extended Depth of Field (EDOF), and Extended Dynamic Range (EDR). With these features, this model is suitable for a wide range of applications including the repair and assembly of highly reflective or translucent materials, with examples such as soldering, quality inspection, or jewelry fabrication.

The specialized software bundled with this product (DinoCapture 2.0) allows users to calibrate the microscope, capture & annotate images, measure image features, and record video. This model includes two Dino-Lite Edge series exclusive features that are accessible within the DinoCapture 2.0 software: Extended Depth of Field (EDOF) and Extended Dynamic Range (EDR).

Extended Depth of Field (EDOF) is useful for capturing images of uneven surfaces. With this feature users can combine multiple images at different focal depths into a single composite image. In automatic mode, the EDOF algorithm selects images to display the best focal depth at every point within the field of view. In manual mode, users can select these images themselves. The final composite image retains all the information in the original photos. The original photos can be viewed by holding down the CTRL key within the preview window.

Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) is useful for capturing images with uneven lighting, reflections or shadows. With this feature users can combine multiple images at different exposure levels into a single composite image. The EDR algorithm automatically selects images to display the best exposure level at every point within the field of view. The final composite image merges the information from the original photos to produce an image with the best possible lighting across the entire field of view.

This model also features a scroll lock on the magnification dial to secure the dial and fix the focus and magnification, which can be helpful to prevent unintentional rotations of the dial. Other standard features include the MicroTouch shutter button for quick and convenient picture taking and eight high-intensity white LEDs that fully illuminate the viewing subject.

High quality optics
This Dino-Lite Edge series microscope maximizes observed details with state-of-the-art lens design and super sharp resolving power.

PC Compatible
This Dino-Lite Edge series microscope connects to the USB 2.0 port on any compatible Windows PC. Once connected, users can easily record, manage, and share their observations using our proprietary software (DinoCapture 2.0). This software is provided free of charge to customers and features professional measurement tools with calibration.

Extended Depth of Field (EDOF)
To view a rough surface with height range out of depth of focus, the AM4815T's EDOF capture mode can take several pictures at different focus and stack them automatically within a click. The resulted EDOF image maintains the picture quality from its original pictures which also can be reviewed in DinoCapture 2.0.

Extended Dynamic Range (EDR)
For high contrast or reflective surface, the EDR capture mode can help to reveal the details of dark or bright areas, which may lost in normal capture mode, by stacking images taken at different exposure levels.

Largest magnification range with long working distance
The wide magnification range (10x to 140x) is achieved with working distances greater than 29 mm (without front cap), which can be helpful when clearance is required between the microscope and the viewing object.

Adjustable polarization
Useful for suppressing glare from reflective materials, such as metals, plastics, or glass, and applicable in dermatology for observing the sub dermal layer of skin.

MicroTouch shutter button
Take picture-perfect photos quickly and conveniently with the MicroTouch shutter button. This small, round, touch-sensitive button responds to the lightest touch to avoid blurry photos caused by excessive movement of the microscope. The MicroTouch shutter button can also be configured to control video recording, trigger barcode scanning, or switch on/off the LED lights.
