NGSS

This product will support your students' understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)*, as shown in the table below.

Elementary Middle School High School

4-PS3-2

Students could use DC Project Motors to make observations and provide evidence that energy can be transferred from place to place by electric currents.

4-PS3-4

Students can use this device to apply their understanding of scientific ideas to design, test, and refine a device that can create energy from one form to another.

MS-PS2-3

Students could use DC Project Motors to ask questions about data to determine the factors that affect the strength of electric and magnetic forces.

HS-PS3-3

Students can use DC Project Motors to design, build, and refine a device that works within given constraints to convert energy from one form to another.

Suggested Science Idea(s)

4-PS3-2

Students could use DC Project Motors to design a prototype of a toy with moving parts, a windmill, or even a battery powered car.
