Description

All Class IIIa Lasers are less than five mW, the question is how much less? Our LSR-200 is almost five (4.95) mW making it one of the brightest on the market.

These green lasers are perfect for applications where a continuous beam must be observed, such as when demonstrating lenses, prisms, or mirrors, or in long distance applications. The bright green beam is especially effective when observed in water. Simply direct the beam through the flat side of an aquarium filled with water. Add a few milliliters of milk to clearly observe the beam. Great for large group demonstrations. As this is a true laser, please exercise care when using this fantastic and educational device. Class IIIa <5 mW 532nm. Uses 2 AAA batteries, included. Deluxe Green Laser includes lovely display case. Body color may vary.

About Continuous Beam Lasers:
Many green lasers blink on and off rapidly, often faster than the eye can perceive. This can impact the results of some experiments. Continuous beam lasers do not blink, resulting in a higher perceived brightness and requiring fewer reflective particles (dust or mist) to see the beam in the air. (All lasers require some reflective particles to be visible in air.)

Great product - even better service

Confusion over 'continuous'

I thought continuous meant not having to hold down the button - NOT TRUE! But the instructions say "ON-press the button switch: OFF - press the button switch again" - NOT TRUE ON is hold the button down: Off is release the button. Still a great bright laser pointer.

Currently in my physical science class I challenge my students to use a laser and 10 mirror (attached to ring stands) to reflect the laser onto a small target. This laser would be significantly better.
