My nephew loved it in his birthday card. It did not fly any where near 20 feet but still lots of fun.

FLYING BUTTERFLY

Just "OK". As a practical joker from way back, the idea is valid. Though in execution, these butterflies don't jump up and fly very well. Oiling the bearing yields better results. Experiment with winding it up more than 25X as the instructions state. At the very least, they will likely startle your subject/victim, but mine did not fly 20-feet..... ...maybe a few inches as it flopped around on the table.

I bought ten of these for office gifts. I included them in the Christmas cards. The cards were all opened at once and everyone jumped. It was pretty funny. Make sure to include the package envelope for the butterfly. It explains it and it's good for storage.

This butterfly has given our home flights of fun for months! We never get tired of putting in our sister's laptop or Dad's book. And of course they love to retaliate in our books! Buying another to send to our cousin in his birthday card!

These are great surprise items. I put them in a few books, then we talk about elastic potential energy. I would buy more if they were a little cheaper.

Love this toy! I do recommend adding additional rubber bands to the purchase. After 4 classes ours broke and I would have paid more to have the additional rubber bands handy!
