When placed in water these colorless water gel bumblebees expand to several times their size and mass. Because the expanded polymer is mostly water, the colorless bumblebee becomes practically invisible. When removed from water and left uncovered, they shrink back to their original size. The bumblebees are made from the same super-absorbent polyacrylamide that is used to make our Water Gel Crystals (GB-5) and Water Gel Spikes (GB-3).
