It's all about Air Pressure! - A Classic Demonstration!
Larger View
More Images
These high quality glass milk bottles make an egg-cellent demonstration of air pressure: just add one hardboiled egg and a little bit of fire! If you place a lighted piece of paper inside the milk bottle and then place an egg on top of the bottle, the fire goes out and the egg is mysteriously pushed into the bottle, whole! A perfect demonstration of warm air expanding, and cool air contracting - it's the cooling of the heated air inside the bottle that allows the atmosphere to "push" the egg inside.
Hydraulic/Pneumatic Apparatus
Water or air can be used to lift objects using a small amount of force.
Lil'Suctioner (package of 3)
Slide this simple, totally amazing device over a can of soda or a beaker, place it down on a smooth, flat surface such as a lab bench and it sticks!
Microscale Vacuum Apparatus
Students can safely produce a vacuum in a small bell jar right at their lab stations.
