The Platinum Pro is the latest model of the magnetically-levitated Levitron Top. The spinning top is able to levitate in mid-air, about 2.25 inches above its magnetic base for several minutes - seemingly defying gravity! This advanced version of the LEVITRON floats about twice as high as the original. The ingenious top is able to levitate in mid-air by harnessing the lifting power of two opposed, permanent magnets and is stabilized in space by gyroscopic forces. It takes some practice to operate, but is absolutely amazing to watch! We highly recommend our Levitron video for first time Levitron users. Also recommended, our Levitron Starter (#M-2) makes spinning the top much easier.

Each package comes with a new Levitron spinning top and a full set of micro-weights to balance it. Note that these replacements are identical to the tops that ship with all our Levitrons and at this price it's worth it to keep an extra set around. This replacement set will work with the SUPER, OMEGA or PLATINUM PRO Levitron Tops.
The Levitron Starter is a small battery-operated motor designed to spin up your Levitron top at precisely the right speed for levitation. As the top is only stable from 18-30 rps, this motorized starter significantly reduces the time needed to learn to spin your Levitron top consistently. With this invention, anyone can spin the Levitron! Works with Original, Super and Omega Levitrons. AA battery not included.
The 23-minute long instructional video (sold separately) explains and demonstrates every detail of the operation of the Levitron Top (both the Super and Original) and Perpetuator. The video includes an explanation of how to spin the top, how to add weights and level the device as well as lots of hints and tricks.
