This kit contains 5 specimens which fluoresce under UV light at 385 nm: Ruby in Fuschite from Karnataka, India; Wernerite from Quebec, Canada; Fluorite, from Durham, England; Hackmanite from Canada; and Terlinqua Calcite from Brewster County Texas. Also included is a UV ink pen. Flashlight itself is not included in the kit so you can select the UV light that is right for you. Flashlights listed and priced separately. Kit has removable inserts to fit either flashlight.

Available Flashlights
Flashlights are available in either nine-LED or fifty-one-LED. Each emits long wave ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 385 nm. It is powerful enough to make gems and minerals fluoresce even in normal room lighting. Has a built-in black filter to block much of the white (visible) light. 51 LED version has a wider field of view.

Made of super sturdy aircraft aluminum, these lights were built for rugged field use by prospectors ... so it will easily stand up to classroom use. The flashlights comes ready to use with batteries and a convenient nylon holder to carry on a belt.
